Overview
This full-time, exempt position reports to the Survey Department Manager and takes responsible charge, and coordinates work activities, for multiple large and/or complex land surveying projects simultaneously to their successful completion. Typical projects include platting, easements, ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys. Willing to train the right candidate, very good mentoring situation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for professional land surveying projects as requested.
- Effectively communicate with Client, construction personnel, local authorities and the general public, as needed.
- Successfully complete projects within established schedules, budgets and quality control standards.
- Maintain relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction as well as participate in development of new clients.
- Use of Civil 3D to modify, correct and update documents.
Requirements
- Registration as Professional Land Surveyor in Texas, or another state with ability to obtain registration in Texas within 6 months.
- Minimum of three (2) years’ experience in responsible charge of professional land surveying projects as described above.
- Have very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be in good standing with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
- Legally able to work in the U.S. if not a citizen or permanent resident.
- Auto CAD Civil 3D.
