Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of facilities maintenance teams, ensuring timely repairs and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Supervise maintenance repair procedures, utilizing schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs such as HVAC system repair, high voltage electrical work, or industrial maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA standards by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for team members.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of parts and tools.
- Lead project management efforts for facility upgrades or renovations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct engineering troubleshooting for complex mechanical or electrical system failures using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, schematics updates, and repair logs for audit purposes.
- Manage facilities management processes to optimize operational efficiency while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in industrial or commercial settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, electrical systems troubleshooting, and high voltage electrical work.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with the ability to implement safety procedures across all operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes.
- Experience managing facilities using CMMS software for work order tracking and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management and motivating staff toward operational excellence.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams such as schematics related to electrical or mechanical systems.
- Strong project management skills to oversee multiple ongoing projects efficiently.
- Mechanical systems repair expertise combined with industrial maintenance experience ensures swift resolution of complex issues.
