Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, install, and finish drywall panels with precision to ensure seamless surfaces.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute project specifications accurately.
- Apply finishing techniques such as taping, mudding, sanding, and caulking to achieve a professional look.
- Install various fixtures including doors, trims, moldings, and other architectural elements.
- Collaborate with team members on framing, metal stud framing, plastering, stucco application, and masonry tasks as needed.
- Perform repairs related to water damage restoration or mold remediation to restore wall integrity.
- Maintain safety standards on-site by adhering to protocols for scaffolding, ladder use, and proper handling of tools and materials.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall construction or related fields such as carpentry or remodeling.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and project schematics.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate installation.
- Hands-on experience with plastering, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and painting techniques including airless paint spraying.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems for fixture installation or water damage restoration projects.
- Knowledge of the restoration industry’s best practices for mold remediation and water damage repair.
- Ability to work efficiently on construction sites with a focus on safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will bring handyman experience or expertise in specific areas like trim carpentry or door hanging to enhance project versatility. A background in the restoration industry or experience working on complex remodeling projects is highly valued.
