What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Mold Setter position at SPI Industries?
Responsibilities
· Run shift to schedule
· Position and align molds during changeover
· Clean and prepare molds for storage
· Set up auxiliary equipment, such as thermolators, temperature controls, robots, conveyor belts, etc.
· Sample new molds and cavities when necessary
· Control flow of materials and coolants into press
· Monitor cycle times to standards
· Keep track of production produced and removed from shop
· Oversee temperature and timing on machine
· Perform machine maintenance and repairs when necessary
· Perform shop maintenance when necessary (changing light bulbs, etc.)
· Address any safety issues that may arise
Qualifications
· Minimum 2-years’ experience on shop floor with injection molding operation
· Valid forklift certification
· Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
· Must possess mechanical aptitude
· Must demonstrate ability to solve problems and show initiative
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
