What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Technician position at Spheros - North America?
Spheros is a global technology company and market leader in the development and manufacture of thermal management solutions for all city buses, coaches and refrigerated transport fleets. We are looking for a new Warranty Technician role to join our team.
Your responsibilities…
- Process warranty claims daily in Job Router for field related failures.
- Provide technical support to customers mainly via phone and email communications.
- Establish and maintain Spheros service center network.
- Enter parts orders in SAP to ship replacement parts under warranty as necessary.
- Provide assistance to end users/dealers to find their local certified Spheros service center
- Ensure that claims are filed in a timely manner using the provided Standard Rate Time (SRT) guidelines.
- Process claims from shops, bus dealers and end users in Job Router.
- Complete Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) documentation as needed to reduce warranty claims and assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and resolve problems.
- Meet daily with the manager to provide status on completed work.
- Attend meetings as needed.
- Follow standards and work instructions and support the creation of standards when needed.
- Enters data in required systems and files timely and accurately.
- Maintain highest security protocols to keep sensitive and protected customer and or company information confidential and secured.
- Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and standards including, but not limited to, performing tasks safely, wearing required personal protective equipment, maintaining a clean working area and implementing safety improvements.
- Escalate challenges and impediments to meeting customer’s expectations.
- Maintain professional and positive relations with team members.
- May train other team members in shipping activities to support cross training efforts.
- Comply with all company conduct rules.
- Other duties and or projects may be assigned.
Let's talk about you...
- High School Diploma or GED, college degree is preferred
- Work experience with repairs of automotive heating and air conditioning units
- Preference given to individuals with warranty or after sales experience
- Knowledge of 12v/24v/110v electrical systems or ability to read a wiring diagram
- Able to read blueprints and drawings
- Proficiency in computer software- Microsoft Office, Google, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair automotive air conditioning units over the phone
