Spheros Environmental is seeking a Staff Hydrogeologist I–III to support our expanding groundwater supply and management projects in Arizona and beyond. This position is ideal for someone who is technically curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about water resources. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects involving hydrogeologic field data collection, well drilling and construction oversight, conceptual model development, and technical reporting.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, hydrogeology, environmental/earth science, or a related field (required)
Experience
0–4 years of experience in hydrogeology, water resources, or environmental consulting (preferred)
Licensure
Arizona Registered Geologist (RG) or interest in pursuing certification is a plus

What You’ll Do
As a Staff Hydrogeologist, you’ll contribute to the technical execution of groundwater projects, including fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Data Collection: Collect groundwater, surface water, and soil samples; deploy and maintain monitoring instrumentation.
- Well Oversight: Support well drilling and construction activities; prepare borehole logs and well diagrams.
- Data Management: Organize, evaluate, and analyze hydrogeologic data from fieldwork and public datasets.
- Technical Analysis: Assist in the development of hydrogeologic conceptual models and groundwater modeling efforts.
- Reporting: Contribute to technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with subcontractors, drilling crews, laboratories, and clients to ensure project success.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow LRE Water’s Health and Safety Plans and field protocols.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Technical Skills
Preferred familiarity with:
- Well drilling oversight and geologic logging
- GIS, AQTESOLV, Leapfrog, Petra, MODFLOW
- Groundwater sampling and monitoring instrumentation
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites across Arizona and the surrounding region
