Spherion is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector Position for a local Warehouse to fill a temp to PERMANENT position!!
The Quality Control Inspectors daily responsibilities will be assisting to visually inspect and observe regrind being processed from sorting. You will also be filling cardboard Gaylord’s to their full capacity, weighing, labeling, and logging for final processing. This role supports several areas of manufacturing, including regrind and packaging as well.
**This position is only for a 12-hour, rotating shifts, so the perfect candidate must be comfortable working every other weekend**
1ST ROTATING SHIFT | 6:00AM – 6:30PM | 2-2-3 SCHEDULE
2ND ROTATING SHIFT | 6:00PM – 6:30AM | 2-2-3 SCHEDULE
Responsibilities Include:
- Inspect reground vinyl incoming from sort tables.
- Inspect metal kick out Gaylord boxes to assure that only contaminated vinyl is being discarded.
- Assist filling Gaylord boxes of regrind to capacity.
- Assist with packaging vinyl fencing at the end of line.
- Filled Gaylord boxes are moved to weigh station to be weighed.
- After weighing boxes are then covered and taped securely and labeled accordingly.
- Finished product must be moved and staged by material handler for final processing.
- Ensure aspirator Gaylord boxes are filled to capacity of waste/debris from grinders and they are emptied daily.
- Weighing of non-vinyl materials may be required for PO purposes per upper management.
- Keep entire area neat and clean at all times.
- Cross train to help in other areas as needed.
- Communicate with the floor supervisor, upper management, and co-workers in a courteous professional manner.
- Abide and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in trainings and comply with safety regulations.
Skills:
- Pay close attention to detail and quality
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to stand or walk for 12 hours
- Possess good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Perform repetitive motion type tasks regularly, including lifting, bending, crouching
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/warehouse
- 2 years’ experience Quality Control
- Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour shift
- Ability to work in fast paced / physically demanding environment
- Willing to submit to background screening and drug screening
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
