Spherion Asheville, NC is seeking a results-driven and highly motivated Engineering Direct Hire Recruiter to join our professional placement team. This is a crucial role for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, combining a strong background in both sales and engineering-focused recruitment. The ideal candidate is a full-cycle recruiter capable of identifying, engaging, and closing top engineering talent while also generating new business opportunities.
This position will work in the office full time.
Base compensation starting at $50,000 with additional fee structure on direct hire placements. Full benefits including; PTO, medical, and 401K.
Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Direct Hire Recruiter
Business Development & Sales:
- Actively engage in new client acquisition by performing cold calls to prospective customers.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, acting as a trusted consultant.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients regarding placement fees, rates, and contract terms.
Recruitment & Sourcing:
- Manage the full life cycle recruitment process for a diverse range of engineering roles (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Process Engineers).
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to recruit engineers from active and passive candidate pools.
- Conduct in-depth interviews and effectively assess candidates' technical skills and cultural fit.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate professionally and effectively with both clients and candidates to guide them through the hiring process.
- Collaborate with internal teams and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of proven sales experience (e.g., inside sales, outside sales, or business development).
- A minimum of 2-3 years of engineering recruitment experience (agency or corporate).
- Four-year degree (Bachelor's).
- Demonstrated ability to cold call and generate new business leads.
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
