Duties
- Safely operate cargo vans to deliver products to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Manage daily delivery routes effectively, optimizing for time and fuel efficiency while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse activities including inventory management, manual lifting of goods, and organizing stock for smooth dispatching
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and communication records to ensure accountability and compliance with company policies
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong track record of route driving and load & unload responsibilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, heavy lifting, moving supplies, and pallet jack usage is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license suitable for
driver classification or equivalent licensing requirements in your region - Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during delivery processes
- Prior experience in route planning, load securing, and managing delivery schedules effectively
