JOB TITLE – Inventory Control Clerk
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Clerk is to ensure that the company’s inventory is both accurate and up to date. Coordinate among various groups to gather inventory information; for maintain current shipping records, and maintain details on expected incoming inventory. Provide and receive updates on inventory-related issues.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure integrity of the physical count of inventory within the warehouse
- Performs Daily Cycle counts
- Performs searches of warehouse facility in order to locate inventory
- Performs system research to identify reasons for all inventory variances
- Reports variance to management in a timely manner
- Reports operational procedure issue to management so corrective action can be taken
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform additional duties as appropriate
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, and an ability to effectively present to large groups and teams
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Share Point, etc.)
- Ability to organize tasks to achieve daily cycle counts
- Experience utilizing a mainframe MRP system
- Must have the ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, order picker and other warehouse equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong math and analytical skills
Minimum Required Experience or Education:
· High school diploma required
· 2 years’ experience in inventory control role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.15 - $27.21 per hour
