Job Summary
Operators will be trained to utilize new methods which married state of the art technology and modern manufacturing to the age-old craft of coopering – creating a world class bourbon barrel. Each operator has a significant role in the barrel making process.
Duties and Responsibilities
The desired candidates should be capable of demonstrating strong work ethics, attention to Standard Safety Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Control Standards, active listening skills, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Manufacturing Experience Preferred
Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent Hand-Eye Coordination
- Must have the ability to accurately complete work instructions individually or as a team
- Must be willing to learn and train others in multiple jobs
Working Conditions
- The Cooperage has season dependent temperature fluctuations
- Loud noise (Hearing Protection is Required)
Physical Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass physical and drug screening
- Must have the ability to stand and/or walk throughout the entire shift
- Must have the ability to bend at waist, pull, push, grasp, and reach.
- Must have the ability to maneuver up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to wear required PPE (Safety Toed Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, and Face Mask)
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
