Overview: SpendMend® works exclusively with hospitals, healthcare systems, and higher education organizations. We offer a unique suite of recovery audit, telecommunications, and consulting services. The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate policies and activities, ensuring legal compliance and implementing the organization’s mission and talent strategy. This role will develop and oversee activities throughout the Employee Lifecycle, including recruiting, performance management, learning and development, employee benefits, and employee engagement as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Recruiting
o Collaborate with leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
o Manage the talent acquisition process from end-to-end, including job description creation, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, while executing best hiring and talent management practices.
o Maintain relationships with temporary staffing agencies, from requesting temporary staff to directly hiring employees as needed.
· Onboarding
o Oversee the onboarding process and present HR orientation content to all new hire Employees.
o Develop and facilitate a training process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition from initial onboarding to job placement.
· Employee Engagement
o Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
o Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
o Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
o Manage the process to guide international employees and the Company through the visas and employment authorization process.
o Educate Employees on the HR resources available for use, encouraging the use of self-service through technology or learning content.
o Lead process improvement initiatives across HR to continue to advance long-term business objectives.
· Other
o Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and talent management; apply this knowledge to communicate policy, practice, and resource changes to upper management.
o Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
o Manage the annual open enrollment process for all insurance benefits.
o Manage the annual review process from start to finish.
o Oversee the maintenance of electronic storage of personnel files and audit personnel files on a routine basis.
o Build and maintain relationships with key business leaders, internally and externally.
o Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field
· A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, including experience with recruitment/talent management processes
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations
· Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
· Comfortable developing and managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of an organization
· Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
· Experience with HR systems/technology (experience with Paylocity preferred but not required)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (including Excel)

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
