Logistics Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics Technician at OneWater Marine supports the efficient transportation, tracking, and coordination of boats, trailers, and major units across company locations and vendors. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely scheduling, and proper communication with dealerships, drivers, and vendors to maintain operational flow. The Logistics Technician plays a vital role in inventory movement, receiving, and delivery preparation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Duties (Most Important to Least Important)

Safely move, transport, and stage boats, trailers, and equipment on the lot using a forklift

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free lot, service area, and surrounding property. Clean and care for equipment, ensuring it remains in good working order and presentable condition.

Assist service technicians and other departments as needed to improve workflow and efficiency

Support physical inspections of units upon arrival or prior to shipment (e.g., verifying VIN/HIN, condition, and paperwork)

Follow all safety procedures and regulatory compliance related to equipment handling

Help resolve discrepancies or delays in shipments through follow-up and troubleshooting

Assist with receiving and staging units for delivery, ensuring storage areas are organized and accessible. Follow all safety procedures and regulatory compliance related to equipment handling

Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory, warehouse, or dealership operations
  • Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and transportation coordination
  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record required
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
