Our client company (in Baton Rouge, LA), a leading commercial building remodel and repair construction company seeks a full-time talented, self-motivated, innovative and passionate individual to perform time-sensitive commercial building repair and remodel projects and oversee the work of support technicians.
Applicants should be skilled in hands-on rough carpentry tasks including sheetrock repair, flooring installation and repair, painting, trim and tile work. A 40-hour work week takes place Monday through Friday with some work being accomplished in a four (4) day work week, Monday through Thursday from 9 PM to 7 AM. Candidates should be passionate about making significant contributions, solving problems as they arise and predicting what could be a problem in time. What you will need to demonstrate:
- 4 years’ minimum experience in construction/remodeling trades.
- Experience with smartphone technology to upload pictures, clock in/out & sign documents.
- Oversee the work of others as well as perform trim carpentry to complete projects.
- Proficiency & experience performing trim carpentry including sheetrock repair & finishing, tiles, flooring installation & repair, painting & ceiling repair/replacement.
- Experience with installation of fixed cabinetry, seating &/or tables.
- Experience troubleshooting of proper long-term repairs.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexibility in work hours & ability to work a night shift & overtime when needed.
- Resourceful with an ability to think creatively.
- Experience overseeing projects & directing the work of others
- Reliable transportation to travel to & from worksites generally w/i one hour of Baton Rouge.
- Personal smartphone.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Clear background screen including drug test.
