Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Responsibilities: Varying shifts in the ED, ICU, Resource, Med/Surg, Birth Center (post-partum) Behavioral Health Services, & Same Day Service Pre-Op and PACU. Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the various departments in the hospital. Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period. Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care. Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients. Requirements: Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience required or equivalent hospital experience Critical care experience preferred Must be willing to fill Resource Nurse role Active IA RN license Must have or willing to obtain upon hire: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, Hazmat, Mandatory Reporter, AMLS, and NRP (inhouse education available upon hire!)
