Diagnostic Imaging IV Specialist - Spencer Hospital

Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital. Responsibilities: Assists patients in getting ready/changing for their procedure Provides assistance to Technicians with treatment procedures Assist and start IVs as directed Helps with patient flow in/out of room Cleans patient care areas and prepares rooms before and after patients Maintains a clean, organized, and therapeutic patient environment at all times Answers phone and directs calls as appropriate Maintains patient confidentiality, including protection of the medical record, order communication data and all other verbal and written patient information Assists with the transfer process of patients within the hospital and to external facilities Participates in departmental cleaning activities as assigned Follows appropriate cleaning standards including sanitation standards Provides for appropriate transporting and re-stocking of supplies and other items related to department and patient care needs Requirements: Must maintain valid medical certification and demonstrate competency in starting IVs in accordance with scope of practice Minimum 2 years healthcare experience preferred BLS required or willing to obtain upon hire - Inhouse education available Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems Schedule: 60 hr per pay period 6 hr day shifts; Mon-Thurs 9a-3:30p, Fri 10:30a-4p The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department Spencer Hospital offers competitive wages, affordable insurance, IPERS retirement, in-house education, paid time off, family gym membership and so much more!
