Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas)welding techniques to join metals with precision and quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and saw
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments; apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Operate rigging equipment, forklifts, and machining tools safely to move materials or position components during fabrication processes.
- Follow safety protocols aligned with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards while working on manufacturing floors.
- Assist in assembly of mechanical systems, and other tasks as needed for various projects.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience in manufacturing environments involving metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG, welding processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, saw DRILLING/TAPPING
- Strong mechanical knowledge including assembly techniques, and schematic interpretation.
- Experience working with A36 1/4-1/2" material
- Basic math skills including measurement conversions and calculations necessary for precise fabrication work.
