Full-Time Retail & Operations Team Member

Spencer & Lynn is looking for a full-time team member to join our shop in Mystic.

We are a curated wine and spirits shop focused on natural leaning, small batch selections, knowledgeable service, and a welcoming customer experience. We are looking for someone who understands the pace of a small retail shop and is comfortable balancing customer service with the day-to-day operational work that keeps the store running well.

This is a hands-on position. The role includes helping customers, stocking and merchandising the sales floor, managing inventory, receiving deliveries, assisting with purchasing, and using Square for sales and store operations.

Previous fine wine and spirits retail experience is preferred. Experience with inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and Square is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and help customers choose wine, spirits, beer, and specialty products.

Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, organized, and visually appealing.

Assist with merchandising, displays, pricing, and product placement.

Receive deliveries, check invoices, unpack orders, and ensure products are entered and stocked correctly.

Help maintain accurate inventory, organize backstock, and track stock levels.

Assist with purchasing and ordering based on store needs, product movement, and customer requests.

Use Square for sales, product entry, inventory, and other daily retail operations.

Support general store upkeep and daily operations.

Work closely with the team and be willing to jump in where needed.

Qualifications:

Previous fine wine and spirits retail experience preferred.

Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and receiving preferred.

Experience using Square or a similar retail POS/inventory system preferred.

Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable attitude.

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.

Comfortable lifting boxes, stocking shelves, organizing backstock, and being on your feet during the day.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team.

Must meet all legal requirements for working in a wine and spirits retail environment.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
