Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Home/Animal Sitter to provide exceptional care for pets and animals in their familiar environments while we are away o vacation. We will pay cash based on qualifications upon return from vacation. Extra expenses may be provided based on needs of home/animals. This can be provided by ApplePay, Cash App, or PayPal. Our home is located in Lithia Springs, GA. The sitter has the choice of staying at location of home or not, but will have certain times they will need to be at the location multiple times a day.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive pet sitting services in clients’ homes, ensuring animals are fed, cleaned, handled, and engaged according to their individual needs
- Caring for various reptiles species, spiders, various bug species, various fish species, and small animals
- Administer medication or veterinary treatments as directed by pet owners or veterinary professionals if needed
- Changing and handling UVB lights, and heat lights if applicable
- Maintain detailed records of animal health, behavior, feeding schedules, and any incidents during care period
Requirements
- A few days training at location of home/animals
- Two part interview prior to training at select location chosen by my husband and I (amount of interviews may vary depending on qualifications)
- Have transportation for emergency purposes
- A way to communicate with myself and husband for emergency situations and willing to update on status of animals upon request
- Ability to handle and care for a diverse range of animals including various reptile species, spiders, various fish specie, various bug species, and small animals
- Animal care experience in feeding, handling, and cleaning up after the animals listed above
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Must be 18 or older and willing to provide paper proof (Driver’s License)
- No criminal background or do any type of illegal substance including alcohol
- Agree to no children, friends, or family allowed while sitting our home/animals (children may be excluded with certain rules and exceptions)
- Certifications related to animal care or animal needs in veterinary assistance are highly desirable, but not required
* A paper copy of your resume, and a copy of your driver license can be provided at first interview
* A application questionnaire will be provided at first interview and must have this submitted by end of first interview (can go through this together or by self)
