The Director of Operations oversees all aspects of sign fabrication, installation, and operational performance within the division. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability across multiple departments. The Director of Operations ensures alignment between production, project management, sales, and leadership teams to deliver high-quality signage on time and within budget, while implementing systems that support scalability and long-term growth.
**This role will be located in Lindon, Utah. We require 5-8 years of sign and install leadership experience so if you do not have this, please do not apply. All candidates with under 5 years of leadership expereince in a sign and install business will be rejected.
**If a qualified candidate is not in the Lindon, Utah area, a relocation package will be avaiable.
We are not looking for a leader with similar or comparable leadership expereince. We are looking for a senior level leader that has deep knowledge and extensive understanding of the sign and install industry. This is not a promotional, next career step role. This is a chance for a senior leader that may have an expereince leading one location, looking for a role to apply their extensive knowledge and background to grow this business and build out a divisional model.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the division. Organize and execute operational excellence for fabrication, installation, logistics, and project execution.
- Develop and implement operational processes, workflows, and performance standards to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure all employees are following defined business processes for consistent business results and customer satisfaction and experience.
- Lead department and/or location leaders, ensuring alignment of day-to-day activities with company goals.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to production, installation, safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Strategic & Financial Management
- Partner with executive leadership on business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Control operational costs, optimize labor, and maximize material utilization.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment, technology, and process investments to increase capacity and competitiveness.
- Identify opportunities for growth, including new services, product lines, and geographic expansion.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, building codes, and permitting regulations.
- Oversee quality control processes across fabrication and installation.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Team Development & Leadership
- Mentor and develop leaders across fabrication and installation. Set up clear communication channels, create development plans, and identify ways to invest in people that can help the business be successful.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
- Oversee staffing, training, and succession planning to support company growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales teams to ensure accurate project scoping, scheduling, and delivery.
- Serve as the operational point of contact for key clients and strategic partners.
- Drive alignment between sales, project coordination, production, design, permitting, and installation.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of progressive leadership in sign fabrication and install business.
- Strong knowledge of sign-making processes, materials, and installation methods.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and complex projects.
- Expertise in operational systems, process improvement, and scaling production environments.
- Familiarity with permitting, building codes, and OSHA standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred (MBA a plus).

- 8am-530pm Monday through Friday (willing to do whatever the business needs to be successful)
- Salary wage will depend on demonstrated experience and tracking record in the sign industry.

The Graphik location is one of 17 locations in the Speedy CPS organization. Graphik is one of the locations in the Lindon, Utah area and is a well-known sign and graphic business in the region. Speedy CPS locations are in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana.
