What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Speedway Motorsports?
Overview
The Mechanic is a member of the TLC 4x4 / Retro Design Team working to provide exceptional automotive restoration. This position reports to the General Manager of TLC 4x4.
Duties and Expectations
- Examine customer vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles.
- Install fabricated components.
- Request necessary parts.
- Follow all safety protocol.
- Document services performed.
- Must have/provide your own tools.
- Must be comfortable working around high end cars.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must be able to communicate and work well with team members in the shop.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of applicable experience.
- High school diploma, or GED.
- Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day and physically lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background screening.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, you will be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate and temperature is climate controlled.
