International Freight Forwarder located in Burlingame, California is seeking an Accounting Assistant. Our company provides logistics services for air, ocean, and domestic transportation.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
- Accounts Receivable processing
- Accounts Payable processing
- Journal entry input
- Bank reconciliations
- Review and input intra/inter-company settlements
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Accounting or Finance
- Basic understanding of debit and credit entries
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (including basic formulas and reconciliation work)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Accurate typing and 10-key skills
- Organized with ability to prioritize and multitask
- 1–5 years of hands-on accounting experience (AP/AR, bank reconciliation) preferred
- Prior logistics/transportation industry experience is a plus
