This position is for you if:

• You are bilingual in English and Spanish and you have solid knowledge and experience with human resources and payroll laws.
• You are highly organized, an excellent communicator, have a positive disposition and enjoy working as part of a team.
• You are proficient in Google, Microsoft and payroll systems (ADP WorkForceNow preferred).
• You have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment as well as solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.

Join our team

As the successful Bilingual HR Representative, you will be working with our VP of HR (14 years at Speedling) along with the HR Specialist (5.5 years at Speedling) in our casual, fun and collaborative work environment. This role carries out primary responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration, employee relations and policy implementation. The HR Representative will achieve objectives by studying the organization plans and objectives; building on the HR resources and providing management with information, opportunities, and benefits. The successful candidate will be customer-centered and have experience in a fast-paced environment.

The job details

• Communicate with all levels of management to discuss employee lifecycle needs.
• Administer and assist in development of various human resource plans and procedures.
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Process bi-weekly payroll for all Speedling employees and weekly time submission for temporary labor.
• Maintain time and attendance system and enter labor tracking information.
• Maintain payroll and personnel files while updating changes to HRIS.
• Track and manage employee garnishments and other payroll deductions.
• Handle payroll and HR reporting requirements.
• Respond to employees of all levels, either directly or by referring request to proper personnel.
• Act as liaison between employees and insurance carriers/brokers by assisting with claim and benefit issues.
• Coordinate with Open Enrollment and administration of insurance and 401(k) plan.
• Work with insurance broker on new hires and terminations for benefits & COBRA purposes.
• Handle all incoming requests for employment verification.
• Handle employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
• Make recommendations and upgrades to all training materials when appropriate.
• Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
• Act as a role model and demonstrate a positive work ethic and high degree of integrity.
• Assist with other functional areas within human resources as needed.
