Responsibilities
- Operate concrete pumping machinery safely and efficiently to transport concrete from mixers to designated areas on the construction site.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to determine optimal placement of concrete pours, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on concrete pumps, mixers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and other related heavy equipment to prevent malfunctions.
- Assist with the setup of pumping equipment, including connecting hoses, calibrating systems, and verifying safety measures before operation begins.
- Support the installation of rebar and formwork as needed to prepare for concrete pouring activities.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, and any issues encountered during shifts for safety compliance and operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction regulations to create a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as concrete pumps, mixers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery with the ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with concrete pouring processes including paving, finishing, forming, and rebar installation.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) or equivalent certification for operating commercial vehicles on job sites.
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards.
