Speedbox LLC is hiring immediately with pay starting at $24.50/hour plus a rescue bonus ($1.00/stop) and a guaranteed minimum 9 hours/day worked (calculated on a weekly basis). This parcel delivery courier job is a physical, outdoors job that involves working at a fast pace with continuous standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting packages weighing up to 50 lbs. To succeed as a package delivery driver, you must never compromise on safety, be self-motivated to work at a steady pace throughout an 9-10 hour day, and delight customers by insisting on high standards at every turn. WHEN DOES THIS ROLE WORK?

This job will start at 11:00 AM every day. Each delivery route will typically take 9 - 10 hours to complete, with each day generally finishing before 9:30 PM.  All team members must be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) as part of their schedule.  We're hiring for both full-time employees (working 4 days a week) and for employees interested in a flexible schedule working 2-3 days a week.

WHERE IS THIS POSITION LOCATED?

This position is based at Amazon's DDV3 delivery terminal located at 400 W 160th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80023. We are just a few minutes away from Thornton, Westminster, Lafayette, Erie, and Brighton.

WHAT ARE THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A PACKAGE DELIVERY DRIVER?

• Arrive to the delivery station at 11:00 AM, where you'll receive the keys to your delivery vehicle, conduct a pre-trip safety inspection, and attend a daily job briefing where we'll meet together as a team.
• Lift packages into the delivery van at the start of each route, which requires hand lifting, pushing, pulling, and organizing 250 to 300 packages weighing up to 50 lbs each.
• Bend, reach above our head, kneel, crouch, and stretch at each delivery stop while lifting and handling packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Walk 8 – 12 miles per day while climbing 20 – 40 flights of stairs when delivering packages to the front door of homes in residential neighborhoods and multi-story apartment complexes.
• Drive a high-roof cargo delivery van safely for 75 – 125 miles per day, while following all safe driving procedures regarding seat belt usage, speeding, and defensive driving. All delivery vehicles are equipped with a vehicle telematics system and dash camera that monitor safety.
• Use a handheld smartphone for route navigation, to read customer delivery information, to speak and text message with dispatchers, and to accurately record the delivery status of packages at approximately 200 stops per shift.
• Work outdoors and drive in all-weather conditions and various weather extremes, including hot temperatures, cold temperatures, rain, snow, and high wind.
