Due to a considerable growth in sales, a full-time, 2nd shift supervisory position has become available. We are seeking a trustworthy, reliable, driven, hardworking individual. The candidate must demonstrate strong integrity, work very well in a team setting, be a problem solver, communicate effectively, have a strong sense of urgency, and strive to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Supervise the 2nd shift machining department to ensure production goals are met
- Assess department requirements, capabilities, and capacity to maximize machine utilization
- Foster a team environment by playing to team member's strengths, coaching them, and providing them with the tools to be successful
- Recognize, encourage and reward exceptional performance
- Recognize and address personnel issues effectively with tact and respect
- Set-up CNC Lathes and Mills
- Adjust programs as needed
- Operate CNC Lathes and Mills to produce machined parts
- May include operating and setting up multiple machines simultaneously
- Use various measurement equipment to inspect and document machined parts for dimensional accuracy, quality, and adherence to prints
- Perform first article and in process inspections
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement
- Maintain accuracy within our ERP system (i.e. time tracking, Work Order management, BOM management, etc...)
- De-burr machined parts
- Be willing to help the team in any area as needed
- Keep work area clean and tidy
- Follow all safety requirements
- Utilize required PPE
- Adhere to all policies laid out in the company handbook
