Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role requires a clinician who is flexible, organized, and comfortable traveling between our office, local daycares, adult day programs, and other community-based settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to children and adults in a variety of settings, including daycares, adult day programs, and our office.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support client goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current NJ state license and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple sites during the workday.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages.
- Experience in pediatric and/or adult populations is preferred but not required.

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, with an emphasis on early intervention strategies.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to pediatric patients in daycares or clinical settings, utilizing evidence-based techniques.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to support holistic patient development.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate families and caregivers on home exercises and strategies to reinforce therapy goals outside of sessions.
- Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to patient care.
Skills
- Proven experience working in school settings or pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and early intervention methods.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and communication disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with children, families, educators, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
