What are the responsibilities and job description for the SLPA position at Speech and Love Bilingual Therapy?
Speech & Love Bilingual Therapy is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for its operations in Fresno, California. Under the direct supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will provide speech and language services in a school setting and implement speech and language goals directed by the SLP to students on an IEP.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Speech Language Pathologist by implementing treatment plans as directed by SLPs; and remediation or development of speech and language skills.
- Collect and compile data to document clients' performance or assess program quality; document clients' progress toward meeting established treatment objectives.
- Prepare charts, graphs, instructional materials, or other visual displays to communicate clients' performance information.
- Provide cultural and linguistic support.
- Promote early identification and early intervention activities; advocate for individuals and families through community awareness, health literacy, education, and training programs to promote and facilitate access to full participation in communication.
- Assist with clerical duties and site operations (e.g., scheduling, recordkeeping, maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment); and preparing materials for assessment and treatment services.
- Adhere to SLPA’s code of ethics, practices, and conduct as regulated by the State of California and ASHA.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
