Mechanical Assembler - Packaging Machinery

Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery, Inc. is a family-owned company that manufactures packaging and inspection equipment for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

We are hiring an Assembler. Assemblers are responsible for assembling fully customized and highly complex filling solutions/machines in accordance with engineering specifications. This is NOT a line assembly position.

• 5 years of mechanical assembly experience with complex industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with assembly of large, complex machines.
• Ability to inspect, test, and adjust machinery to meet strict tolerances and customer specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to detect and correct issues independently.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Ability to perform basic math and metric conversions.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written) to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, and other teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Machine Assembly: 5 years (Preferred)
• Blueprint reading: 5 years (Preferred)
