Marketing Manager

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Marketing Manager leads the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives to strengthen brand presence, generate new business opportunities, and support customer retention. This role oversees marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and promotional activities that drive awareness of the company's services.

Hours and Wage

• Exempt salary position
• Starting range: $70,000- $92,500 per year based on relevant years of experience, education, certificates and comparison to other employees already in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive freight sales growth, strengthen recruitment efforts, and enhance overall brand visibility.
• Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing initiatives, including digital advertising, email campaigns, content creation, social media engagement, events, and paid media.
• Partner with sales and recruiting teams to design and implement targeted campaigns that generate qualified leads, attract drivers, and support customer retention.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity; identify opportunities for new services, partnerships or campaigns and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Oversee the company website and online presence, ensuring content accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand standards.
• Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators to measure effectiveness, optimize ROI and guide data-driven decision-making.
• Manage marketing budgets, vendor contracts and relationships with external agencies, creative partners and advertising platforms.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to promote services and strengthen employer branding.
• Supervise, mentor and support marketing team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Proven expertise in digital marketing strategy, including SEO, SEM, social media, and analytics platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations and measurable ROI.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong creative skills with the ability to develop compelling content; graphic design or basic video editing (PostMyWall, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.
• High attention to detail, organizational excellence, and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
