Job Summary
The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources department by maintaining functions such as personnel policies and regulatory compliance.
Hours and Wages
- Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM or 7:30AM-4:30PM
- Starting wage: $24.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related issues
- Support resolutions of employee relations matters, including investigations and documentation
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment
- Partner with hiring managers to assist with the interview process as needed
- Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation processes
- Support performance review processes and employee development planning
- Coach managers on performance issues, documentation, and corrective actions
- Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquires as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems
- Coordinate employee training and development programs
- Support Leadership development initiatives
- Maintain HR systems, reports and employee data
- Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, hiring and engagement
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Problem-solving and conflict resolutions abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in human resources preferred
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
