Job Summary:
Specular Theory, Inc. is seeking a proactive Associate Producer with 2 years of technical production or project management experience in games, simulation, or real-time software. You’ll help manage timelines and resources, work closely with the production team and software team, and ensure smooth delivery of next-gen simulation systems that combine VR environments with custom flight controls.
This is a full-time, onsite role in Venice, CA.
For this role, you must be eligible to work in the United States. We do not offer sponsorship for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Support Production with planning and delivery across cross-disciplinary projects, supporting multiple timelines and priorities.
- Work with the Production team to align software work and milestones with custom hardware production schedules.
- Surface risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early.
- Operate core production rituals and processes (backlog refinement, planning, triage, etc.) and maintain clear, up-to-date statuses and expectations.
- Provide timely written status and decision logs to stakeholders.
- Promote a healthy, accountable team culture by soliciting, synthesizing, and acting on feedback and by defining and communicating expectations and direction
- Continuously improve processes and artifacts; support production with alignment and change management for updates
- Advocate for the team's needs by offering practical solutions that balance scope, innovation, and team health
Qualifications:
- 2 years in technical production or program/project management for games, simulation, or real-time software
- Proficiency with Jira administration (workflows, boards, dashboards) and the Microsoft Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate ambiguity into clear, actionable plans.
- Steady, organized approach under changing priorities, exercising sound judgment and consistent follow-through.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset. Willing and able to learn new tools, pipelines, technology, and hardware.
- Onsite 5 days a week in Venice, CA.
