A global financial institution in Washington, DC is seeking a contractor to support their Murex transition project, with a focus on treasury accounting and back-office operations. Experience with Murex is preferred, but a strong accounting background with exposure to financial instruments such as bonds and derivatives is required.
Responsibilities:
- Support the transition of accounting workflows and treasury processes from Summit to Murex.
- Configure and validate Murex accounting modules to ensure accurate general ledger entries.
- Execute and document testing for accounting workflows, including accruals, amortizations, and settlements.
- Maintain and verify accounting data for bonds, derivatives, and other treasury products.
- Assist with automation, reconciliation, and reporting for general ledger and financial instruments.
Qualifications:
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- 5 years of accounting, treasury, or back-office experience.
- Knowledge of financial instruments (bonds, derivatives, fixed income).
- Murex or Summit experience preferred.
