Behavior Consultant (School and Community-based)

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavior Consultant to join our team in providing exceptional school and community-based behavioral services. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, to develop and implement personalized behavior intervention plans. Your expertise will help foster positive behavioral changes, improve daily functioning, and enhance quality of life for the individuals you serve. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral therapy, all while collaborating closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify individual needs and strengths under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans aligned with best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA)
• Collect and analyze data on behavioral progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure effective outcomes
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and community partners to support consistent implementation of intervention strategies
• Provide training and ongoing support to caregivers and educators on behavior management techniques
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Participate in intake processes, case consultations, and team meetings to coordinate care plans effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in psychology, special education, social work or related field; relevant certifications preferred
• Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder
• Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and/or willingness to obtain Registered Behavior Technician credential or higher.
• Experience in data collection, patient assessment, and behavioral health interventions
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
• Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with families, educators, and healthcare providers
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism in all interactions

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
