Looking to shape the future of commercial and government sales contracts while guiding business teams through vital legal decisions? At Spectrum, you will negotiate agreements and provide strategic legal support to internal management and sales teams, ensuring contracts are managed with precision and foresight. Your work will help drive operational excellence and strengthen Spectrum’s commitment to exceptional client experiences.

How You’ll Make An Impact  

  • Negotiate commercial and government sales contracts with internal stakeholders, including Master Service Agreements, Right of Entry Agreements, Value Added Reseller Agreements, Requests For Proposals and Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • Advise sales and business teams on contract interpretation and dispute resolution
  • Draft and revise contract templates and legal documents to enhance processes
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law and proposed legislation to manage risk effectively
  • Collaborate with other in-house counsel and manage outside counsel on specialized customer-related issues
  • Provide guidance to contract managers within the legal team
  • Contribute to special legal projects and additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications  

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum  

Education  

  • Juris Doctor degree from a top-tier law school
  • Active State Bar Membership in good standing and ability to be licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction

Experience  

  • 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably with a large law firm or in-house legal team

Skills  

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Elevated leadership skills and strong attention to detail
  • Extensive experience with complex commercial negotiations in commercial and government settings
  • Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience counseling sales organizations on demanding timelines
  • Effective and tactful communicator, both in person, in writing and by telephone with a variety of deal participants
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
