SUMMARY
Seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join the corporate team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role provides essential support to both corporate and site-level EHS functions, ensuring workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across operations. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, collaborative, and passionate about maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support corporate and site EHS teams in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews independently or collaboratively.
- Assist sites in integrating EHS programs within operational systems to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Utilize tools such as ETQ and Upkeep to track, document, and improve EHS performance and audit readiness.
- Partner with site managers to evaluate workplace hazards and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
- Provide training and promote awareness to drive a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.
- Travel to multiple sites as needed to support EHS initiatives and upcoming compliance audits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of EHS experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or comparable environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO-based management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 preferred).
- Experience in Industrial Hygiene practices a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel; mileage and tolls reimbursed per company policy.
