Armed Security Officer
Compensation: $15.50– $18.20 / hour
Employment Type: W-2 Employee
Schedule: Full-Time (35-40 hours/week) OR Weekend Part-Time (30 hours/week)
About the Role
We are currently seeking reliable, professional, and observant Armed Security Officers to join our team. As a Flex Officer, your ability to adapt to different environments and schedules is key. We currently have two specific schedule tracks available: a nearly full-time weekday role (35-40 hours) and a weekend-focused role (30 hours).
Our security philosophy is, your primary objective is to maintain a strong, approachable, and highly visible presence to deter incidents before they happen. When conflicts do arise, we rely strictly on verbal de-escalation techniques. Your ultimate focus at all times must be ensuring the safety of Yourself, the staff, and our customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain a Visible Presence: Patrol the premises and remain highly visible to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and disruptive behavior.
- Verbal De-escalation: Defuse tense or escalating situations using calm, professional communication and conflict resolution skills. Physical intervention is strictly prohibited.
- Prioritize Safety: Ensure a secure environment by actively monitoring for hazards or threats, keeping the focus squarely on the safety of yourself, facility staff, and customers.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Serve as a "flex" officer, providing coverage across designated sites, filling in for call-offs, or handling special assignments as needed.
- Reporting: Observe and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or incidents accurately in daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Customer Service: Greet customers and staff professionally, offering assistance and answering questions when appropriate.
Available Schedules

- Position A: 35 to 40 hours per week (Varying shifts, requires open availability).
- Position B: 30 hours per week (Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday shifts).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state Security Guard License/Card (or willingness/ability to obtain one prior to starting).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to de-escalate conflicts verbally.
- Reliable transportation and a dependable track record.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during a shift.
- Must pass a standard background check and Certification check(If applicable at the time).
