Assists housekeeping manager with all day to day operations, especially with the supervision of the cleaning of assigned areas according to Spectrum Resorts standards by providing the highest level of quality, cleanliness and service for guests.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in implementing and sustaining an effective training program in accordance to the company standards
- Assist in teaching housekeepers and inspectors “standard unit appearance”.
- Assists in scheduling daily assignments for housekeepers and inspectors.
- Assist in conducting the job training of new and existing team members.
- Assist in tracking housekeeper and inspector performance utilizing guest comment cards and results of quality audits.
- Work with Department Manager to develop and implement incentive programs that reward good performance based on data from comment cards and quality audits.
- Assist with team member annual reviews.
- Assist with payroll functions as required.
- Assist with inventory and ordering as required.
- Works alongside housekeepers and inspect0rs to insure units are cleaned to standards
- Assist in cleaning and inspecting units as needed
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year housekeeping experience
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, preferred
- Basic computer experience to include Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn company specific programs
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to promote a team environment
- Must have basic OSHA knowledge (i.e. Hazard Communication, Bloodborne Pathogens)
- Must have sufficient physical strength and ability to independently and repeatedly lift, move and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift/move objects weighing more than 25 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Must be able to climb/stand on a ladder/step stool as needed
