CMM PROGRAMMER
Location: Ogden, UT
Reports to: Director of Quality & Engineering
Shift: 2nd Shift; 4 – 10’s
Compensation: $24 - $40/hr

Your Role:
As a CMM Programmer, you’ll support precision manufacturing by programming and operating CMMs to verify complex, high-tolerance parts. You’ll develop reliable inspection methods, partner closely with machinists and engineers, and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO quality standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Program and operate Zeiss and Brown & Sharpe CMMs using PC-DMIS or Calypso.
- Create, edit, and validate CMM programs from drawings and 3D models.
- Perform dimensional inspections for first article, in-process, incoming, and final stages.
- Troubleshoot CMM issues and recommend corrective actions (recalibration, sensors, fixtures, etc.).
- Develop effective inspection setups and support fixture design.
- Use standard inspection tools (micrometers, height gages, bore gages, profilometers, comparators).
- Document results and maintain accurate inspection records within the quality system.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve nonconformance and optimize inspection
- approaches.
- Maintain equipment, perform basic PMs, and keep a clean, organized work area.
- Support audits, QMS initiatives, and compliance requirements as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma required; additional technical education preferred.
- 5 years of dimensional inspection experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or similar industries.
- Proficiency in CMM programming (Calypso and/or PC-DMIS).
- Strong interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Solid understanding of inspection methods, tolerances, and metrology tools.
- Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems preferred.
- ERP experience (Global Shop or Epicor) a plus.
- Strong math and trigonometry skills.
- Ability to meet pre-employment background and drug screening requirements.
- Must meet US Person requirements for ITAR/EAR regulations.
