Spectrum Plastics Group (SPG) is a global supplier of engineered medical components and value-added solutions for the medical device and contract manufacturing industries. With a footprint that includes 20 manufacturing sites around the world, SPG provides precision extruded plastic solutions, injection molded components, balloons, and complex catheter assemblies to manufacturers and premier medical device brands, primarily in the medical device and life science market segments.
Position Summary:
- Read and interpret manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures and comply with their requirements. All documents are in English only.
- Assemble catheters in clean room.
- Ability to learn new equipment and processes and quickly demonstrate proficiency in their operation.
- Document material transfers, completion of manufacturing steps and verification.
- Ensure that processes and materials are in compliance with quality system requirements.
- Maintain clean room area per procedures.
- Train future assemblers on procedures.
- Build medical product assemblies with a level of quality, consistency, and speed to meet the design specifications and production schedules.
- Ability to evaluate personal workspace, equipment, and tooling to ensure it is in compliance with specifications and procedures.
- Operation of all equipment including but not limited to Split die, Braider, Laminator, Pad Printer, RF Tipper, Coiler.
Shift:
Monday-Thursday 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM
Qualifications:Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Attributes required for this position include ability to follow instructions, meet schedules and priorities, have excellent attention to detail, initiative, work well within a team, and have the ability to produce consistently high-quality results.
- For entry level, we will train employees with good mechanical aptitude and work ethic
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly required to sit, stand and walk
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include inspecting through a microscope.
- Work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and heat.
- Clean room environment - must wear gowns, hair coverings, and booties.
- The noise level in the work environment is minimal
