REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT:
Schedule: You will work part-time, 4 hours per day for a total of 25 – 30 hours per week. The schedule is designed to offer flexibility while ensuring you have ample time to contribute to the team's ongoing success.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll, and commission calculations
- Financial reporting and QuickBooks proficiency
- Familiarity with Google Suite
- Job costing understanding and strong accuracy in data entry
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks independently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and dependability
- Comfort with asking questions to understand processes
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with all team members
A Plus:
- 3 years of accounting experience in a small business environment
- Experience in construction, trades, or job-costing environments
HOW DO WE CARE FOR OUR TEAM?
This is a part-time opportunity offering $25 – $30 per hour, plus part-time employees will be eligible for accrued prorated PTO of 1 week annually.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS OUR JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT?
As a part-time Junior Accountant, you will process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and prepare payments, all while staying on top of accounts payable and receivable. You will review, post, and follow up on customer payments, ensuring records are always accurate. You will complete weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, track project-related costs, and assist with payroll processing and commission calculations. Collaborating closely with the operations and project management teams, you will monitor job-level financial data and help maintain organized financial files. Your work will support the month-end close process, contribute to internal financial reporting, and keep all documentation up to date.
