Position: Equipment Manager / Equipment Technician / Shop Manager
Shop Hours: 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday
Location: Grandview, MO
Position Summary: The Equipment Manager is responsible for the daily operations of spray equipment/pump shop, inventory management, maintenance, and repairs on equipment. The Equipment Manager will also supervise Equipment Technicians.
Compensation: Hourly - depending on experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs on Spray Equipment such as GRACO, TITAN, Mi-T-M, Binks, Sames-Kremlin, etc
- Manage inventory, including ordering, processing, and storing of incoming merchandise or products.
- Ensuring that high customer service standards are maintained, and customer issues are quickly and efficiently resolved.
- Assist customers in person and over the phone with questions/orders regarding equipment
- Miscellaneous tasks around the warehouse, such as stocking, cleaning, organizing, filing, etc.
- Oversees and ensures the efficiency of all daily operational procedures.
- Train, manage, and develop other Spray Equipment Techs
- Other tasks assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Previous supervisory experience a plus
- Must know basic computer and math skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must be Mechanically Inclined and have some mechanical experience (not necessarily on spray equipment, but preferred)
- Small engine repair experience
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and the store/sales team.
- Capable of passing a background check
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to operate with limited supervision and guidance
Experience in any of the following fields is ideal, however, we are willing to train paint industry, construction, or experience with architectural, commercial, or industrial coatings.
