Position Overview
As a BCBA at Spectrum of Smiles, you will hold a central clinical leadership role — designing individualized treatment plans, supervising Behavior Technicians, and partnering with families to achieve meaningful outcomes. You will work across clinic, home, school, and community settings, with telehealth options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill-based assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, etc.)
- Develop, monitor, and update individualized ABA treatment plans
- Supervise, train, and support Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- Analyze client data regularly and adjust programming based on progress
- Provide structured parent and caregiver training
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (OT, SLP, educators, etc.)
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with BACB and insurance standards
Requirements
- Active BCBA certification in good standing (required)
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Experience conducting FBAs and developing behavior intervention plans
- Strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to travel within the Chicago metro and/or Highland, IN area
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising RBTs in clinic, home, or community settings
- Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental needs
- Leadership, program development, or clinical director experience (a plus — not required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout session environments
- Ability to respond to and safely manage behavioral situations
