Required Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
- Experience: Television news - 0-2 years
- Education: High school diploma
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends
- Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail
- Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
- Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, comparable television work experience preferred
- Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems
- May be required to lift up to five pounds
- Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasion
- Semi-noisy newsroom setting
