The Billing & Benefits Specialist supports individuals by managing and verifying Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and private insurance benefits. You’ll play a key role in monitoring expenses, maintaining accurate records, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and maintain eligibility for Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and private insurance
- Track and monitor individual benefit-related expenses
- Collect, review, and verify benefit and insurance documentation
- Ensure continued benefit coverage for eligible consumers
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or
- At least 3 years of experience as a Benefits Specialist or in a similar role
Skills & Abilities
- Clear communication skills (written, phone, and in-person)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working with numbers, forms, and benefit systems
- Ability to reason through complex situations and collaborate with others
Pay & Benefits
- Starting wage: $15.00 per hour
