Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunity for a Medical Records Technician - Team Lead (Outpatient & Inpatient) to support Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System in Temple,TX.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in spoken and written English
- High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of continuous medical coding experience in a large, complex healthcare system (VA-level or equivalent)
Must hold one of the following current credentials:
RHIT
RHIA
CCS / CCS-P
CPC
U.S. Citizenship
Must be proficient in:
ICD-10-CM
HCPCS
CPT (for outpatient)
ICD-10-PCS and DRGs (for inpatient)
Experience supporting highly complex healthcare environments such as:
Acute care teaching hospitals
Surgical programs
Ambulatory surgery
Medical school affiliated facilities
Telehealth programs
Large specialty and domiciliary services
