Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Dental Assistant at Hickam Airforce Base in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities
Assist dentists in restorative, surgical, prosthodontic, endodontic, and periodontal procedures.
Prepare patients, sterilize instruments, and maintain dental equipment.
Record medical/dental histories, chart treatment information, and manage reports.
Take intraoral and extraoral X-rays; maintain and perform minor repairs on radiography equipment.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
Pour and trim models, construct custom trays, and support lab functions.
Education: Completion of one of the following:
CODA-accredited Dental Assistant/Technician program
Military or Red Cross dental assistant certification
36 months of experience as a Dental Assistant (within the past 60 months)
State-accredited Dental Assistant program (within the past 12 months)
AADA member in good standing with required CE
Experience: At least 6 months as a Dental Assistant post-graduation
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Radiography certification.
Training: Coursework must include radiation physics, safety, and radiographic techniques
Completion of qualifying and credentialing packages per AF44-119 (3-7 business days).
Must meet all security clearance and background requirements prior to start.
