The Counselor is responsible for:
- Providing psychoeducation and evidence-based treatment to offenders (pretrial and sentenced men and women) according to the approved curriculum and completing all required documentation in the case record (OMS).
- Facilitating 2-3 groups daily, based on current scheduling.
- Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time.
- Arriving for work on time and adheres to the programs attendance policies.
- Works cooperatively with SCSD personnel to ensure smooth operation and coordination of program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, criminal justice education or closely related field required
- CADC, LADC II or other comparable certification/license or equivalent experience with substance use treatment groups/services preferred.
- Experience working with justice involved individuals and/or in a correctional setting preferred.
- Knowledge of SUD/MAT population and experience working with justice involved individuals in a correctional setting
- Staff must be able to pass extensive background check and pass drug screening
