What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor (Part-Time) position at Spectrum Health Systems?
Location: Shirley, MA - Massachusetts Department of Corrections
Schedule: Part-time. 24 hours a week, Monday-Friday and possibly weekends
Pay Rate: $26.92/hour ($56,000 annually)
The Counselor is responsible for:
- Ensuring that all inmates are provided with education in the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction and are responsible for written documentation in the case records.
- Participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed.
- Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week which may include evening and weekend programming
Qualifications:
- BA/MA or 2 years equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required
- DOC experience and/or Alcohol/ Drug certification preferred
Salary : $56,000
