What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Spectrum Generations?
PART-TIME: 20 Hours per week
Spectrum Generations Dishwasher position is a unique part-time position that enjoys weekends off!
This position is based out of the Cohen Community Center in Hallowell, Maine.
Purpose:
The purpose of the position is to assist with the clean-up and sanitation related to meals served in the Nutrition Program provided by a community center and assist with custodian duties required to maintain a clean, appealing, environment that contributes to the safety of consumers and staff at the center.
Duties include:
- Sets up dish machine in the AM and closes down/cleans machine in the PM according to procedures.
- Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift. Maintains periodic sanitation routines, including the cleaning and maintaining of dishwashing equipment
- Inspect and ensure dishes and other items are clean and free of stains, cracks, and chips.
- Places clean plate-ware, glassware, silverware, and pot/pans in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Keeps dish areas clean by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping countertops, and emptying trash.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational goals.
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year dishwasher/kitchen experience desired
